About

Hello there! My name is Carol, and I’m a stay at home mom to my beautiful 1 year old son. But I’m more than a mom, I’m also a small business owner..or at least trying to be.  I’ve always been an artistic person, but never found a proper outlet for it. It wasn’t until I was pregnant with my son, Aidan, that I finally found something that I truly loved to do. Crochet.  I taught myself to crochet via YouTube and then the rest is history. I’ve come a long way in the past 2 years. I know some may think that 2 years doesn’t give me enough experience in this area, but determination can get you far! My love for crochet soon blossomed into a desire to start my own crochet business, Sweet Potato Crochet Creations With this blog, I hope to take you with me as I continue to learn new things in crochet and maybe some other little creative goodies as well.

  1. Hi, I was wondering what size the 3x is in the Blooming Crocus top and the Lake winds sweater. It doesn’t give the measurements on the Ravelry purchase page and I would like to make sure it will fit before buying the pattern. Thanks.

    1. Hi, Karin! I go according to the measurement standards from the Craft Yarn Council. The size 3X ranges from 52-54 inches for the bust, and I designed the Blooming Crocus Top with 2 inches of positive ease for a comfortable fitting top. If you would like a more fitted garment, I would suggest going down a size. As for the Lake Winds Sweater, I designed that with zero ease meaning that the top should fit exactly to the given bust size. For the 3X it would be the higher number of the range. (54 inches). The stitch allows for some stretch as well. Let me know if this helps!! 🙂 ~Carol
