My Stay Gold Beanie was so much fun to design and work up that I knew I would have to design some matching patterns to go with it! My first matching pattern (or patterns) is the Stay Gold Earwarmer. I designed 2 different versions of this earwarmer (because who doesn’t like to mix things up?) You can find the round regular version here for FREE on my blog.
Stay Gold Earwarmer
Don’t lose it! Favorite this pattern on Ravelry. You can find the regular version for free right here on my blog. If you’d like the twisted version as well, you can purchase an ad-free pdf for a small fee. The ad-free pdf contains BOTH the regular and the twisted earwarmer, so you are getting 2 patterns for the price of 1!!

Special Stitches:
FPtr- Yarn over twice. Insert your hook from the front around the back of the post of the current st and back around to the front. Yarn over and pull through. (Yarn over and pull through 2 loops)x3.
FPtr2tog- Yarn over twice. Insert your hook from the front around the back of the post of the designated st. Yarn over and pull through. (Yarn over and pull through 2 loops)x2. Yarn over twice. Insert your hook from the front around the back of the post of the next st. Yarn over and pull through. (Yarn over and pull through 2 loops)x2. Yarn over and pull through the remaining 3 loops on your hook.
BPtr- Yarn over twice. Insert you hook from the back around the front of the post of the current st and back around to the back. Yarn over and pull through. (Yarn over and pull through 2 loops)x3.
Puff- (Yarn over, insert your hook into the designated st. Pull up a loop.)x3 Yarn over and pull through all 7 loops on your hook. Ch 1.
Modified Double Crochet-Pull the loop on your hook up so it is about the same height as a normal dc. Holding the loop on your hook with your finger, wrap the extended loop you made around your hook. This will create 2 loops on your hook (similar to a yarn over would when making a normal dc). Hold these 2 loops down with your finger. Insert your hook into the stitch right below where you pulled up the extended loop. Yarn over. Pull through the stitch. You will have 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops. Yarn over, pull through the last two loops. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6cN2uk94-k

- Regular earwarmer is worked in rounds.
- Earwarmers are written for the smallest size with larger sizes in parentheses.
